So, those new pictures of Daniel Radcliffe? Are disturbing me.

He was twelve only a minute ago!

What is this world coming to? Where people grow up and gain chest hair. *shakes head*

Also. I've been meaning to make an enthusiastic joyful post on Pan's Labyrinth, which I saw over a week ago. Spoilers under cut!

So yeah. Totally loved it. Insanely so. :D

It was a lot more....brutal then I'd thought it would be. Some scenes were rather...horrifying. But it worked. The war storyline was a lot more prominent then I first thought too--and it was done fantastically well.

The Captain really got me to me--in a good/bad way. He's creepy and violent and you just want to STAB him--but but! The watch thing! With his family tradition, smashing the pocketwatch at the moment they die. It's fantastic. One of my favourite scenes of him was when he was slowly stitching up the knife wound that split his mouth open on one side. It was painful, yes, but just totally awesome.

That man is a fantastic actor.

Also--Mercedes. Totally big surprise as I thought she was just going to be a very minor character. But she turned out to be my favourite in the end--even more so than Pan. I am shocked! But gleeful. :D She was very well done--her desperation and her courage came across very well. She didn't come off contrived--she was just there and fighting for her brother and oh, I love her so much. :D

Ofelia at certain stages bothered me, but not all that much. And--at the end when she dies, well. I thought I'd hate the ending, but I rather liked it.

Also. Pan. Yes, much glee! (Technically, he isn't Pan. Just the Faun, but eh.)

I have this whole theory on Pan and the open ending and his motives. But I'm not going to share it, because I'd be typing all night. But yes. Much love!
