remus is so pretty. i wish i knew how to used acrylics. D:
i really like the image of the 'erik' fellow. i'm really digging the background (the textures, the 'smoke', the buildings.. so cool).
the last image is just.. so. gorgeous. i'm really drawn to the area around her neck and collarbone. the blend of colours is amazing. part of why i normally work with b&w is because i have no real sense for making flesh tones. the blend you've done here is really lovely. :)
And wow, thank you for the wonderful feedback. It made me all smiley. :)
And--flesh tones? I can totally suck at them. Most of the time I'm just slapping on different colours and going OH WAIT, TOO DARK/LIGHT! And furiously editing.
With acrylics, they took me a while to learn. I just layer the colour, somewhat like watercolour...but more so. Err, not sure if that makes sense!
hahaha. i do the same thing when i actually DO try to colour skin, but then i just quit in frustration.
ahh, acrylics are like an old arch-nemesis of mine.. i was never able to use them. though, i'm sure i have some from a few years ago. it might be kind of fun to try again. :O
God, I feel you with frustration. I have so many unfinnished pics that never make it near the scanner. XD
Do try again! I'd been practicing on and off with acrylic for a while, using it in very small doses before I hit my stride--I've still got a way to go with it though. And--oil is my arch-nemesis. Oh god, does it drive me nuts. o.0
Oh lordy... these are gorgeous. I came via hp_art_daily to see the fanart, but I'm particularly taken with your original pieces. You have some incredible talent! :)
