I get all my news from blogs and moo. How sad! We have many Maurice Sendak books. I think my favorites are the manners books (which are actually just illustrated by Sendak), "What do you say, dear?" and "What do you do, dear?"

Sendak's books were a HUGE part of the childhood of all four of my children. What made me so sad was the memory of my two older daughters having those books (along with Russell Hoban's books) read to them by their dad before he died.
