We have not seen a single Jew blow himself up in a German restaurant. We have
not seen a single Jew destroy a church. We have not seen a single Jew protest
by killing people.

No, we have merely seen a Jew kill 11 year-old boys who throw rocks at soldiers. We have seen a Jew raid a prison and a territory whenever they wish. We have seen an entire group of Jews steal a whole state from its rightful inhabitants based on a claim established/respected only by a religious text, and deny its inhabitants citizenship or basic civil rights. We have seen Jews steal nuclear technology in order to arm themselves and we have turned a blind eye to it all b/c we feel bad about what happened to them in Germany.

Israel deserves to be destroyed. It is an outlaw state as surely as North Korea and Iran and yet we call them our allies.

There was no suicide bombing before 1947 and David ben Gurion.

Depends on how you look at it. Technically Japanese Kamikazies were "suicide bombers"...but I don't think they ever hit civilian targets like the ones of our time do.

regardless, it's a disingenuous point, at best. I was referring to suicide bombers in the current context of Hamas and their ilk, and they didn't start their work until after the formation of Israel.

Yeah, but guerilla warfare is damn effective. The Maccabee's offensive is still studied in war schools today.

Also, what an individual Jew does, is not what Jews do. That also applies to the Muslims. Ignoring politics, the general answer is, Militant Jews practice Kiddush Hashem. When they want to protest, the kill themselves. Militants Muslims OTOH, seems to have a habit of taking others with them.

Now which is more right to you?

this isn't an issue of what is more right. if you believe in god, suicide still gets you into hell, so its gotta be pretty bad, don't you think?

my point is, you can't just point at one group and say "look at what you did!". just about every group of people has commited some sort of horrible act, maybe several.

also, just because guerilla warfare was effective doesn't mean that we weren't look upon as monsters back then.

A woman of great courage...I'll give her that. Trying to hit home points like that over there is kinda like asking to "disappear". But also a woman of great ignorance. While I cannot completely disagree with the concept that some practices in Muslim countries are a bit dated...its not our place to change them. I think thats part of the problem. We expected to go into this country, bust a few skulls, and wave the magic Democracy wand. But we are talking about trying to unite factions that have hated or mistrusted eachother for centuries! Its up to THEM to make the change, not us to do it for them. And its not going to happen overnight in either case. I think thats why things are headed back towards civil war...too much too fast ( ... )

The chinese were buddhists and launched huge, bloody military campaigns all the way through the time of the emporers, so I agree...

actually, I also think it's not unreasonable to WANT to change others' behavior, if it is immoral or wrong. My problem is, we discriminate as ruthlessly here at home. I'm tired of seeing us clean up the rest of the world while allowing our own people to suffer.

Here Here!

I do want you (and everyone else to know) that I posted this word for word from my email yesterday to start conversation. I don't know quite where I stand in all of this and I'm gettting a clearer idea from reading your posts and digging up old BBC news articles.
