Pastor Thomas Muthee is the man Palin credits with getting her to win as Mayor - by praying over her. Muthee conducted a witch hunt in a Kenyan village. He declared a Kenyan woman a witch, and conducted a crusade against her until she was run out of her village. Urgh. I watched some more, by accident. I'm with you - it's not hate, it's fear. That someone so clearly and completely incompetent is actually being considered by members of the American public as a potential vice president (and, quite possibly, potential president, depending on how long you expect McCain to live). It's terrifying that people are considering that.

Maybe she's some kind of genius who just happens to be inarticulate, but would make a great world leader apart from that - somehow, I think this is not the case.

(Gah, note to self. Stop getting wound up about another country's politics.)

I know, I know. I oughtn't to, but it is hard, when living here and unable to vote, not to rant. I have the sense that on Nov 5th I'm going to be wanting to blow someone's house up. She really is rather popular.

The reminder not to get wound up was aimed at myself, rather than you. Must be odd to be living there whilst all this is happening, though.

I plan on blowing stuff up on Nov. 5th, but to fuel my pyromania rather than for any political reason.

I've been watching videos of her church and her interviews. I'm afraid and I live in England! If I were a wiccan living in the USA I'd be crapping myself. It's not as if the constitution doesn't get ignored and overlooked already. With Palin as VP and maybe President I forsee a return to the days of puritan witch dunking. I wonder where she'll nuke first? Probably everywhere but Alaska so that she can prove her "everyone will come to Alaska for the rapture" idea.

A very worrying lady indeed.
