This isn't a small idea. It's big. It doesn't fit in a sentence or even a paragraph. Some people might find it offensive because I am questioning things they consider part of their identity. So... 'want them as part of your family' is probably a bit broad, since it reads two ways. 'Want' as in wanting them to chill out and join us all in being decent human beings is one thing, and that's fine.

I'm not talking about the uncle who posts stuff about illegal immigration all over Facebook either. I'm talking about your cousin who shows up to Easter and ends up getting in a fistfight with your SO because they sat there and didn't say 'Amen' after the prayer they were politely quiet for.
