I enjoy the fact that I can see my stove from my computer chair. (In fact, I can see my entire kitchen from anywhere in the living room.) It makes for easy simmering

It's not so much that I don't know how to sight-read, it's more like I'm dyslexic and if I try to read too fast it all jumbles together. It's hard to explain. I actually have a good handle on basic music theory and all that jazz (no pun intended), but... I don't know. We'll see.
