Wow, that doesn't sound nice.... I'm a little confused as to what sodium is (english isn't my mother tongue) - but if it is salt, you can always buy salt-replacement... I know it's possible here in denmark, looks like salt, tastes like salt - but isn't.
My favorites are the cookbooks by the American Heart Association - overall, there's healthy and tasty recipes in there. They otherwise go for low natural salt, or offer ideas on salt reduction/substitution. I bought a few when I was learning to cook in '08 and ate my way through a few dozen recipes that were better for me than most of the other stuff I stick in my pie hole
