That's funny, I don't actually diet but I do take up fasting from time to time, but I have the same problem. My tummy starts rumbling, and I very often end up giving in. Ah well, I suppose it's good for me to know that I'm weak :)
it's not weak of you, it's your body's natural reflex. it does however get in the way of losing weight. there must be another way....hmmph anyway, i shouldnt get started talking about diets, my food-babbling is worse than my psychobabbling!
Well, if it helps any, the only thing that seems to help me actually get through it is to be able to keep myself occupied. If I am fasting on a day when I have nothing to do and just sit around the house, I almost always give in, because in my boredom I eventually make it to the fridge just because. But if I can keep myself relatively busy, writing, doing something slightly active, cleaning, praying (well, that should go along with any fast anyway), maybe reading, but it would have to be something really interesting that could help take my mind off the hunger, going out to a park or something, you know, basically whatever floats your boat and keeps your mind off the hunger, at least a little bit.
And I love all your babbling!!! I told you before, you have such a fantastic way of putting things, and I always love the perspective you portray, so please, babble away :)
