The bastards in the alliance completed the scepter quest, opened the gates and posted about it 24 hours after. Thanks for telling us, fuckers.

Can you honestly say you would have told THEM?

Yes. If not for an exact hour, I'd have told everyone who reads the realm forum, what day and part of the day we were planning to do it.

You would think you'd notice what with silithus exploding.

If I had been in Silithus at that moment, or for that matter, if I had been playing in one of the areas where mobs spawned, maybe I would have noticed (and even then that would have been too late to see the opening). But I wasn't even playing WoW.

I made my return debut during Gilneas' opening. It was sexy.

Alliance made a movie of it if you'd like.

I've seen a movie from one of the first servers in Europe who did it (my brother is in the guild that rung the gong), I just wanted to see it with my own yes, even if it meant dying to one of these giants in the first 5 minutes. After that I would have hearthed myself back to town to play with the elite mobs and stones.

For the alliance! bwhahaha.

Emerald dream was pretty much joint throughout the whole thing, I was working when the gates opened but someone made a video of the gates opening on my server, pretty awesome.

The last hour sucked though, I was expecting a huge fight with one of the brood dragons coming in at the end or something, instead it was a lag fest where the server couldnt keep up with what was going on, mobs were nigh on immortal and not moving.

I missed ED's because the war effort page was broken badly when it took place, and when it was repaired, I saw the gates were already opened. I didn't bother me much because it's a high pop server, my char there is 34, and I don't know if I want to guess how many times I would have died to get to Cenarion Hold to get the flight path. For comparison, mounted, at level 40, I died 4 times, all of them in Ungoro Crater.
