So my cellphone is missing in action and presumed gone forever. As much as I'm loath to admit it, I do sort of depend on the damn things for keeping in contact and such like. So, tomorrow I'm going to buy a new one ( Read more... )

I think I've settled on vodafone even though it appears that telecom is currently offering a better prepay text deal.
Yeah, telescums txt deal is better/cheaper if you text a fair bit and vastly so if you do so a lot. I know a few textaholic chicks, the ones on telescum go through $20 to $40 a month on txts whereas the vodafone ones tend to be $20 a week sometimes up to $20 a day.

Can't say I've kept up too much with cell tech, the idea of mp3 players or cameras in cells just seems silly to me. I've just got a basic non-fliptop Nokia 2125. Just checked telecom website and interestingly, the 2125s now retail for $30 more than when I got it last year, though all the other phones from that time are the same or down in price since then.

Yeah but the things you really have to remember are:

1.Vodafone works in several different countries.

I actually think that might be better than my phone. Which means, of course, that I'll be getting phone envy.

I vote vodafone.
