Surgery on my left hand is set for Thursday, August 24. It's such a relief to finally have a date; getting it has been like pulling teeth, with many phone calls and no word from the office for two months. And I'm scared. I've never had surgery. Poor thing! At least they've set a date. I'll bet the surgery won't be that bad. It's not as dangerous as like, open heart surgery or something. You'll be okay!

No, it's not that bad! Unless it gets infected, and then I'll probably have to get it amputated.
