If life is so fair, why do roses have thorns?

Days off are foxy. I stayed up late, slept in, had a long shower, read fanfic, and er, did laundry. Laundry, woo! Showering involved hardcore exfoliation -- borderline flaying -- followed by a coating of Vaseline petroleum jelly. (This is my favorite moisturizer. It makes your skin flawless and you get a huge jar for like a dollar.) I used to do ( Read more... )

I can't even touch vaseline, I hate it so much! It just feels so gross on my skin. Even if you told me it would make me look like Kate Winslet, I'm not sure I would still even try it (well, who am I kidding?)

Well, won't you feel sorry when I'm Kate and you're not? Heheh. Yeah, I don't care for the greasiness; you do end up feeling a bit like one of those penguins in the oil-spills. Usually, I put it on at night, when I don't have to sit around feeling all slippery.

That is classic. I especially loved the cutting part. Tickle Me Emo would fit right in on the children's unit at work. :-)

An added bonus is reading all the comments from offended emo kids.

This is from another posting of that clip:

"this is from MAD TV?
Thats it.
I'm complaining. this fucking stereotype has gone too far.
Fuck you if you find this funny."

"I can't believe you guys think this is funny. There are real people out there with these kinds of problems. People just push their issues to the extent in which they become "humorous." Newsflash: this happens. Don't laugh at it."

"i am outraged by this just i go to hot topic and i like my chemical romance but im not emo so this is just like racism to people who like this stuff"

The next kid that uses the word "stereotype" in their poorly-punctuated comment should be flogged with an overpriced studded belt from Hot Topic.

Somehow the rose/thorn remark has got that damned Poison song stuck in my head. D: That's a great video, though, and I think I want one of those.

I'm sorry. That's a horrible song, and I feel like a horrible person for inadvertently inflicting it on you.

my word, Torchwood is so good, when I watched Doctor Who at Christmas I thought it was rubbish. I missed the finale though - boo.

I just watched the finale this afternoon. OMG! I'm still high off it! I unfortunately agree with the first line of your comment. There was nothing so wrong with the Christmas episode; it just wasn't as astonishingly fantastic as Torchwood has been.

i saw it at the weekend - was repeated on BBC3. And, of course, it was ace! A properly good ensemble piece. I think there's a few I missed so hopefully they'll be repeated so I can catch up.

The Doctor was ruined a bit by Catherine Tate's incessant one-dimensional 'acting', but aye, it wasn't bad, just not as good.
