In light of the recent violence around Mishima University's campus, I will be teaching a series of workshops on personal safety and self-defense. They will run Thursday nights from 6 - 9, and are open to the general public, not just Mishima students

Excellent. Do you have any martial arts experience? This is my first time teaching a class, so I'm trying to gauge the best place to start.

I have experience with capoeira.

I teach different combat styles an' weapons, if ya need someone ta give ya a hand.

So is self-defense.

Well, of course it is. Especially when someone is proficient. Doesn't help when a railroad spike is being shoved through your eye though. Or someone's chasing you with a chainsaw.

Fortunately, those sorts of events are somewhat rare here.
