Short scene from a comic I may/maynot write; it's kind of at the bottom of the list...

Also: It's been a while. Sorry.

My friends, I stand before you to tell a trust most dire. There lurks a traitor in our midst who has invoked the captain's ire. He does deserve no mercy, we ought to shiv him with a gun; but I am not an evil man, so first let's have a little fun
We'll tie that scoundrel to a rope and throw him overboard. To wrap him underneath the ship, a terrifying, deadly trip.

“What the hell is that noise?!”

Keelhaul that filthy land-lubb-er, send him down to the depths below! Make that bastard walk the plank with a bottle of rum and a Yo-Ho-Ho!

“Hey!”

Simon turned to ear bud between disdainful fingers. “How can you listen with the volume like this? You'll go deaf before you're twenty.”

The Commentator shrugged one striped shoulder. “It's fun.”

“And what the hell is this?” Simon stared at the tiny speaker. “Have you been listening to Pirate Metal again? Touch my shirts and I'll gut you.”

“That's just what a land-lubber like you would say! What irony that it be ye with tha' most pirate-worthy shirts of us all! Be this not correct, First Mate 'Pashi?”

The small figure across the room turned from one of several glowing monitors to join the conversation. “Simon has modeled his style after the Edwardian period of fashion, while your 'pirate fashion' is more commonly found in the Georgian Era.”

“But doesn't it look pirate-y?”

TapashiToo blinked, then pressed a few keys; one monitor flicker to a side-by-side comparison of Simon's outfit and The Commentator's favorite pirate costume. Another began silently playing a scene on a pirate ship, while the third through fifth hummed green-yellow code. “While there are several visible commonalities, to say the two fashions have similar appearance would be a grave overstatement.”

“In other words, don't touch my shirts.”
