Time for another edition of "Blackjack tries to figure out the nonsense of the world"

Oct 29, 2011 18:29

Recently it's come to my attention that I seem to have a vastly different system of importance than others seem to. People think it strange that I place so much importance on justice to the point where I'd be willing to endanger myself for it. Yet to me it's only natural. Others talk about "oh well what about your family?" and I think "wow. People ( Read more... )

That doesn't sound like anything all that important to me. That sounds like trying to find meaning in coincidence
Because that's all a culture is to other people. Which is why there's so much hate in the world.

I had a runin with the same loon who called me racist before.
She just keeps spouting the stupid, doesn't she?

Sounds like you're asexual to the point where gender and sex have no true meaning (Although you totally said that in this post).

In any case you know I'll always back you up in my own ways, right? I'm just glad these flame wars are away from your journal (because I'm too pacifist to say "you're wrong about Blackjack because...")

Oh yeah and now she's accusing me of using "abelist slurs" against her because I called her a loon. Never mind that she's calling me racist AND sexist--apparently "loon" is the worst word in the world or something!

Heck, if you wanted to jump in I couldn't exactly stop you.

What a silly thing she is.

Then they'd accuse me of being your white-knight and I'd be all "butbutbutbut" *weep*

And oh yeah, she reiterated her stance that women can't oppress men. Sure maybe not on a civilization-wide scale, but she's completely denying the role of the individual. To her, it's completely rational for a minority to hate the majority. To me, it's still bigotry and hate, and thus still wrong.

Is this an aspie trait, to ignore groups in favor of seeing only masses of individuals? Or is that just me? Because I've always done it and it seems no one else does.

Yeah, that's exactly the sort of thing people like her constantly try to deny. And to point it out does NOT shift emphasis towards men, but rather encompasses "victims" as a word and as a concept.

I am...not really understanding most of the stuff you said about culture, or about the body, or about the society thing, but here is a tiny contribution of what I think of all this ( ... )

I don't really hate the world. I just find people needlessly confusing and endlessly stupid.

Heck, there's white people in Mexico. And yet apparently, according to these people complaining, it'd be Not Okay for them to celebrate a holiday in their OWN COUNTRY. It seems so bizarre. Again, needlesly confusing.
