[Only started eating the food right off the shelves, got a hold of some Pocky, and went on a sugar rampage afterward that included consuming Pokemon food.

He remembers that handshakes are how most humans, especially the males, say hello to one another. He gives Cooper his hand and all's normal until he actually tries shaking hands. For one, Andalites are known for having weaker arms and hand muscles, so he's not that sure how tight to grip Cooper's. It's not a painful grip, just uncertain.

[Yeah so! that's a pretty awkward handshake but Coop doesn't really mind - it's more a habit on his part, and it's not like he'll ever forget that Ax isn't actually human to begin with. Hands now in his pockets, his stance is pretty relaxed.]
