[It's night-time when Sasha finds Cooper sitting by the lake. The psychic looks a little tired, since he's just gotten back from a two day trip to Mt. Mortar. He approaches Cooper from the side, not saying anything at first, turning his gaze to the moon as well.]

...Only during certain phases. Scientists claim that the full moon can cause insanity due the water in the brain. The push and pull of the tide.

[He just nods, before glancing over at Dale.]

Something happened to you these past few days.

[He might not say anything, but Cooper knows he's there before he speaks up. In a way, he'd expected him to find him.]

I find the moonshine story to have more appeal. I think it was about as common as the beliefe that the phases were causing it a couple of centuries back.

[He raises an eyebrow slightly as he looks over to Sasha, with a small crooked smile. It probably comes across as a little grim.]

Not me. [But direct questions - be they masked as statements or not - deserve straight answers.] One of my friends disappeared.

[Oh come on Cooper, you can't do any emo brooding without Sasha knowing about it. He doesn't move from his spot, but Sasha's gaze is still planted firmly on the FBI agent.]

Both are interesting tales never the less. That's not the major point of concern right now though.

...

I figured it was something related to that. [He stuffs both hands into his pockets calmly. His next statement is firm, yet contains a small amount of compassion to it.] Let's go get some coffee. [Because yes, Sasha, that fixes everything.]

I believe it's the most common cause of sadness in Johto.

[But yeah -- Cooper is okay with coffee and is in his mind already on his way somewhere as soon as the words are spoken.]

Okay. [You get to lead the way, since you suggested it.]

... S'that where the word 'moonstruck' came from?

[HEATHER IS SLOWLY APPRECIATING YOUR WEIRD AND RANDOM TRIVIA, COOPER.]

[THAT'S GOOD because she'll probably only get more of it the more she gets to know him.

[But have a 'mhm'-sound in confirmation.] The same goes for "lunatic".

... Really?

Lunatic?

.... Ohhh, like 'luna'.

HUH.

Never knew that!

The condition lunatics suffered from was called lunacy. That's what had them loony.

[See, there's another word that ties in with 'luna'. THE MORE YOU KNOW - but Cooper's mind is elsewhere, hence the somewhat distracted response.]

I remember that tidbit.

It's been a while since I heard anyone refer to it, though.

It is a theory that doesn't hold much ground anymore.

[He's not looking at the feed as he says that, but looks back at it when he completes the sentence.]

How are you? It's been a while.

Luckily enough, considering I own a floating rock that eats moonlight to survive.

{Smiling gently!} I've been worse, I've been better. I'm stuck in a wheelchair at the moment, but apart from that, I'm pretty okay.

How are you?

Lunatone?

[A guess; he's got a Solrock.]

I'm holding up. How did you end up in a wheelchair?

Yes, if memory serves correctly, this is where the word 'lunatic' has come.

It is.

[Yeah, sorry professor, you're not getting more than that right now.]

Is there something on your mind, Cooper?

[... well, that was apparently very easy to pick up on.]

One of my friends disappeared a few days ago. You never really get used to that.

[France offers Cooper a big, charming grin.]

Yes, I am! I'm staying at the Inn, Room 16, with Romano. Would you like to meet up?

Please.

[Yeah, he'd like that. He can't help but smile a little in response - France really is infectuous like that at times - despite feeling pretty off.]

Where's good with you?

[France hums, thinking a bit before answering.]

There's a small restaurant a couple buildings east of the Dance Theater that has a nice selection of food and drinks. Would you like to meet there in about twenty minutes?

Sounds good. I'll be there.

[He cuts the feed - and he'll be waiting outside what he figures must be the one France mentioned maybe 15 minutes later, a shoulder against the wall as he surveys the street and the people on it, but without really seeing it.]
