So a while back we took Riley to the vet cause he was crying out a lot and his back looked hunched up. They perscribed a muscle relaxer and some pain pills and told us to make sure he took it easy so his back could recover. We did the best we could, but everyone works and goes to school during the day and we can't watch him all the time

I've had that type of dog when I was younger. These dogs usually have bad back problems. In all honesty the wheel chair option maybe a little more costly, but it is a lot safer.

On the optimistic side, you could enter Riley in the Special Olympics.

Hey yous. Good luck with Riley, there is this neat thing you can get called Dog Insurance, we found out about it, after being in a similiar situation with my dog. It's costly, but at the same time, in the long run, I think would have been worth it. Maybe talk to the 'rents and see what they think. If your doggies are getting older, it may come in handy more than once.
