Eve was used to the whole alternate universe weekend thing, after two years at Fandom. So when the third weekend was just about due to roll around, she wasn't terribly surprised. Eve was so caught up in the worrying and trying not to cry -- she didn't do crying, damn it! -- that she reached for the home phone at first. And then she reached for her cell, barely glancing at it before answering it with a distracted, "Hello?"
