Eve's portal out wasn't until the next morning, but she was getting her things packed now. Or at least vaguely together, so she wouldn't have to run around the next morning and risk being late

Savannah had been having a better day than evening. No, really. This morning had been really nice with Johnny and then she had a fun brunch with Hinata and Summer. It was a good day.

Then Josef blew that all to hell.

That would be why she was knocking on her mother's hotel room door. They needed to talk like now.

"Yeah, hang on," Eve yelled when she heard the knock. A moment later, she ws opening the door. "Hey, sweetie."

Savannah gave her what she hoped passed for a smile and came in. "Hi Mama."
