Calling All Nerds!

Game geeks! I need your help! I've been calling my D&D setting Fallen Empires for a while now. It was originally a nod to VNV Nation, but I forgot it's also a Magic expansion. I want to change the name to something else, but I want something with a similar feel, a name suited to a world literally built on the ruins of a hundred long-lost empires. ( Read more... )

Forgotten Empires/Crowns (a little too close to Forgotten Realms)
An Antique Land (too Ozymandian?)
Lost Dynasties
Moldy Hearths (too pastoral?)
The Barrow Realms

It's really pretentious, but I almost like Bygone Dynasties.

I wish "antique" and "antiquity" were easier words to work with. They sum up the feeling really well.

Nothing wrong with pretentious! After all, you used VNV Nation as a starting point for your original name. I'm just glad it's not HONOR!POWER!.

I think that "Antiquity" works very well as the name of a campaign.
