So, Friday morning is when I'll get my cell phone. I tried to fight it but didn't work. The plan I'll get sounds sucky: free calling to all cingular customers, after 9pm free nighttime and weekend calls, share minutes with my sister and grandparents and anyone who calls me during day time who isn't cingular- I get charged big time. Yeah, I'll bet she's anti-abortion, pro-war and other fallacies...
One of the suckers who supports rules that appear to be for enhancing the safety of the people ("pro-life, "anti-terror"), when really the collar is just being tightened one notch at a time.
I'm all for pro-seatbelt public awareness and stuff. But this is pointless.
If they -have- to make a law to make driving more safe, they should make it more effective. Like making it essential for minors, learner-drivers, and really old people to put that "L" sign on their car to warn everyone else. It works really well in England.

so by that rational, those kids that are always jumping all over the mini-van, throwing stuff and generally being pests don't need seatbelts either? I feel they save lives, but I'm full of shit... Though, is it considered a moving violation? Can it effect your insurance?

We discussed the kid issue as well. As far as I know, most states require small children to be in a booster seat. Older kids usually stay put unless, their parents are dumbasses who don't beat them when they move around in the car.
