He is coming in and out of consciousness and knows who he is, who his mother is, and recognize his friends. He's just a little delusional at the moment and can't fully remember the accident...The idiot was drunk (it was his 21st), didn't wear a helmet, and got out of it with no apparent serious head injury. He's bleeding between his skin and skull somewhere (in other words nasty bruises) and the only visible wound on his head is a swollen lip. They have taken him off the oxygen, but still have tubes in him due to a collapsed lung... most of his ribs are broken, his sternum, wrist, and arm in 3 places. Had the handle bar been an inch either left or right he would have died. Unless any complications suddenly come up, he'll be fine.
Last year my sisters were in a motorcycle accident... they both nearly died. They just happened to be on the backs of the motorcycles when they were hit head on. Their boyfriends who were driving the cycles both died. No one was drunk and the guy who rammed them did it on purpose. They are both ok now though.
Its amazing what you can survive. Glad he will be ok. Motorcycles suck.
