Aurora Floyd is a frustrating piece of literature. I've been reading for the past two hours or so and I only just got to chapter six. The plot is advancing rather slowly, which is only adding to my level of disdain for this particular Victorian sensation novel. At least there's some character development in this one?

This has been a very bad month. I'm trying to be all smiles when people are around, but it's hard. It's really hard.

Here's to hoping that things will improve / get easier.

On a completely different note, I think I've decided to major in Psychology if I don't get into the Visual Arts department for whatever reason.

Lately I've felt completely uninspired. I find that to be a little backwards because you usually think of tragedy acting as a muse of sorts for people, but it's not in my case. Not yet, anyway. While cleaning and unpacking, I came across a film canister time capsule of sorts stuffed with a sheet of "my favorites!" and a string cut to match my height in the year 2000. I haven't gone to the gym once since the new year started, and it shows. I've decided to make some lifestyle changes starting as soon as I get back to school. The support I'm getting from Rich is giving me hope that I'll be able to stick to my guns, figuratively speaking. In the spirit of Christmas, the act of giving makes me quite happy. I love to see looks of inexplicable surprise on people's faces as they unwrap things that totally catch them off guard, in a good way. screw recieving. Giving others reason to smile is the best gift I could ask for.

Finding and looking through old photographs makes me indescribably happy. My mother and I uncovered some photo albums from when she was a baby not too long ago, and I was quite touched by their contents. The grandfather I never knew was in many of the frames, beaming as he held his brand new daughter.
