Should really be Echizen, but Echizen will be too long and I'll save that for the third chapter.

The sun shined on top of a quiet little school... but then again, that was a complete lie 'cause since when was Shitenhouji "quiet"?
"YUKI-CHAN!" That scream could be heard hundreds of miles away.
The little girl cringed when her brother cried out. It wasn't like she was far away; she was just by the fence and her brother was just a couple of meters away. "Kin-nii... I'm right here." she said as she brushed back a lock of her red hair.
"Where are you going? I thought you wanted to see my play a match against Shiraishi?" asked the rookie with a curious pout.
"Kaa-chan called; she wanted me to go to the store to pick up some octopus to make takoyaki tonight."
"TAKOYAKI! I LOVE TAKOYAKI!" shouted the young boy as a small trail of saliva ran down his chin.
Yuki giggled. "We know you do, nii-chan. That's why kaa-chan has those random takoyaki nights every month."
"Yay! Yay! I can't wait for tonight!" Kintarou bounced around.
"Kintarou! Don't tell me you're not going to play? I'll have to bring out my poison arm." called the buchou.
"NO! NOT THE POISON ARM!" Kintarou ran quickly to the court.
Yuki laughed. Though she had been trying to stop her brother from reading too much comic books, Shiraishi had discouraged her to do so that he could continue to make her brother believe that he had a "poison arm."
As she walked alone, she recollected her thoughts about her brother. Though it's true that he does embarass her from time to time and he has some wild antics (one including that he took her favorite pink kimono and new socks and made it into a costume for himself), but there was no way that she would trade him up so anyone else. She was very close to her brother, probably the closest to him than anyone else but that was obvious since the two were twins. Well she thinks about the times that they had been together, she knows that she loves him since a blood relation is the strongest in the world. Though they did have their bad moments (just last week, Kintarou "accidently" drop all their textbooks into a tub filled with mud, why mud and not water? Saa, who has any clue?), they always resolve it quickly; she could never stay mad at him and Kintarou... when does Kintarou ever get mad?
She was too deep into her thoughts that she failed to notice the loud horn coming closer to her at a dangerous speed. When she did... it was already too late.
"30-15!" called out the umpire.
"Kintarou! That was an easy shot! You could have returned it!" said Shiraishi as he grabbed for his towel.
"Shiraishi... something doesn't feel right...." mumbled Kintarou.
"Eh?" It was very rare to see the hyperactive rookie like this. "Something wrong?"
"Shiraishi, I felt like I was hit by something!" he concluded.
"Kintarou, the ball was nowhere close to hitting you."
"No! No! Something's wrong, Shiraishi!" he yelled, getting worked up by it.
"I think you're imagining it, Kin-chan."
"NO!"
"Kin-chan, calm down!"
"I-I'm going to go." he said, running off the court and school grounds without his personal belongings.
"What's got his underwear in knots?" asked the junior.
"I don't know; he just said that he felt something wrong." answered Shiraishi.
"Maybe he's predicting something." Zaizen joked.
"I guess we'll find out tomorrow."
The next couple of days, the Tooyama twins have yet to show up at school or practice. The team tried calling and even tried to be brave enough to go near the Tooyama house again (since the last time they went, it happened to be takoyaki night and some members almost lost a finger or arm), but neither option worked. They were starting to get worried, it true that Kintarou usually puts both the two of them in danger occasionally (like when they "almost" fell off a cliff), but they had never miss school nor would they had leave without telling the team.
Just as the forgotten fukubuchou was about to bring up a plan to spread out and look for the two around the city, a very depressed Kintarou came sulking in, dragging his precious beat up bag behind him.
"Kintarou! Where have you been?" asked Kenya. They heard him mutter something incoherent. "Is something wrong, Kin-chan?"
The freshman didn't answered, but just sulked to the benches and sat down. The team started to get worried; never had they seen their teammate this depressed. They'd seen him upset when he didn't get to play his match against Echizen, but never had he been on this level of sadness. The group huddled into a little group to discuss some possible explanations and some plans as to cheer up the freshman. They first pushed out Shiraishi.
"Oi, Kintarou! How about we play a match right now? We still haven't finished that match a couple of days ago." suggested Shiraishi.
"A couple of days ago...." Was all the kid said before another wave of sadness hit him and the buchou washing him back to the group.
"Failure, buchou?" smirked Zaizen.
Shiraishi glared at him. "Who's next?"
"I'll go." offered Gin as he strolled over there. "Kin-han, I can finally teach you one of my 108 levels of Hadoukyuu."
"Tennis...." Another wave hit the courts and even though Gin was a strong man and tried to fight against the wave, he ended up being washed back to his other teammates.
"I'm next!" jumped Kenya. "Yo, Kin-chan! There's a carnival in town, you should really take Yuki there."
"Yuki...." Though the Speedo star could run on water, this wave completely knocked him off his feet, drowning him with sadness.
Koshikawa silently walked over to the young one without a word to the rest. They watched with curiousity as he lasted longer than anyone else, well... he didn't say anything to him yet.
"Silence...." And another wave drowned out another member. So far, four died by drowning in Kintarou's dangerous waves of sadness.
"That didn't work." commented Zaizen as he poked his fallen senpais with a stick.
"I predict that it'll take us another half hour before we figure out what's wrong." chriped Chitose.
"Then you go and make it earlier!" Zaizen pushed Chitose to the fallen member, like pushing a little boy into a battle zone of the British and the French.
He stood in front of the boy, but he couldn't think of anything to say due to the noisy honking near them. "Geez, what's with these cars?"
"Cars...." Unfortunately, a poodle can't swim during a tsunami.
"We'll go! Come on Yuuji!" Koharu said as the two skipped over there. "Ne, Kin-chan! Let's go eat some takoyaki!"
"Hai! We just got some fresh octopus!" added Yuuji.
"Takoyaki... octopus...." Even Zaizen didn't think he would have survived that fifty stories waves that resulted when his homo senpais went to cheer up the little guy. He was just lucky to have jumped behind the pile of dead people beside him to protect him from the wave; who knew that a pile of dead bodies would have come in handy?
"This isn't going well, buchou." commented Zaizen as he picked Kenya's pocket for any loose change, he owed him about a thousand yen.
"Of course, I'm the only one to survived."
"I'm alive."
"Well... you didn't do anything."
"I pushed our poodle out."
"That doesn't count."
"Let's see... what triggered all the deaths...." thought Zaizen.
"'A couple of days ago.'"
"'Tennis.'"
"'Yuki.'"
"'Silence.'"
"'Cars.'"
"'Takoyaki' and 'octopus.'"
"Umm... a couple of days ago when Yuki went to the store to buy octopus for takoyaki night, a car crashed into the store silencing the octopi and that distributed Kintarou during his tennis match against me!" said Shiraishi proudly, thinking that he solved the mystery.
Zaizen looked at his buchou wryly. "I think you need help, buchou."
"Oi!"
Zaizen thought everything over. 'The only reason Kintarou would be this upset is if something happened to Yuki.' He peered over the mountain of bodies as more people went to asked him how he was. He knew that there was only one way to find out. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed the number to the hospital.
"You know, they can't revive any of our fallen comrades."
"Hush, buchou. Oh, is there a Tooyama Yuki there? ... There is? Can I get redirected to her room? ... It won't do any good? Why? ... 'How can a person in a coma talk?' She's in a coma? ... It doesn't matter who I am!" he shouted the last bit and hung up the phone.
"Yuki's in a coma!?" Everyone just miraculous revived! Kami-sama must be in a good mood or something today.
"YUKI!" cried the younger boy as the biggest wave hit the school.
"Okay! Okay!" Zaizen pulled out a big lollipop and stuck it in Kintarou's mouth, enough to muffle the crying a lot; where a lollipop of that size came from? Really that is a complete mystery. "How did it happen?"
"Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm mmm mmmmmmm mmmmmmmmm, MMMMMMMMMMM!" answered Kintarou, but his answer didn't give them any clues.
"Take out the lolipop if you're going to say something, Kintarou." said Shiraishi.
"Buchou... I think it's stuck." commented Zaizen as he tried to pull it out.
"Zaizen...!"
After waiting about two hours for the lollipop to become small enough to pull out, the team sat around the rookie waiting for him to explain the situation.
"Kaa-chan said that it was a hit and run. We don't exactly know who hit Yuki, but the doctors are predicting that she probably got hit by a small truck to have gotten that much injures."
"Man... to think that this would happen to little Yuki." said Zaizen.
"Have you been at the hospital this whole time, Kin-han?" asked Gin.
Kintarou nodded. "Kaa-chan said that I can't stay at the hospital waiting for Yuki to wake up."
"Is she getting any better?" asked Kenya.
"I don't know...."
One week turned into two then three. The doctors have yet seen any process in Yuki and had predict that she might never wake up, but Kintarou didn't want to believe that. As much as trouble that he causes her, he really wants her to wake up and he knows that she would want to wake up soon too.
It was a Sunday morninng and instead of going out and having fun like a normal kid, Kintarou decided to spend the time in the hospital besides Yuki so that their mother could go home and get some rest. He knew that he couldn't do anything nor did he really want to do anything besides sitting there holding her hand, like what he would do when she was at home with a cold.
He looked out the window. It had turned to fall during the last couple of weeks, it was Yuki's favorite season. She definitely loves it when the leaves have completely turned their red-oranges but have yet fallen to the ground.
"Ne, Yuki. Look the leaves outside are just the way you like them!" said Kintarou with a small smile but as he looked back down at his sister, his smile disappeared. "Yuki, your favorite cake store is releasing a new cake today! I'll... try to get you some...." He gripped her hand. Never had he ever felt so lonely since the day when he felt something hit him; it was as if a piece of him had gone missing and it doesn't want to show up no matter how hard he tried to find it. He even started praying to see if that would get her to wake up faster, but so far nothing had happened. Maybe he was way too hyper and because of that, the gods are annoyed with him and won't grant him his wish? He doesn't know, but he just wants his sister back.
He can't help but feel guilty. It was because he loves takoyaki that this happened. If he didn't like it then Yuki would have never gone to the store and never been in the accident.
"I'm sorry, Yuki...." Just as he said that, he felt a slight movement in her hand. Feeling the abandoned hope returning to him, he looked up at her face and saw her slowly open her eyes. "Yuki!"
Yuki turned to her brother and smiled. "Kin-nii...." she said in a weak voice.
Kintarou felt a really smile returning to his face as he glomped her. "I'm so happy that you're back!"
He could hear her chuckle. "You're suffocating me, Kin-nii."
He quickly got off of her and grinned like a little child. "Sorry!"
The two smiled. No matter what happens, they know that they had each other.
"Ne, Yuki?"
"Hai?"
"I want some takoyaki."
