So, no, not terribly. Relatively, maybe, since it is a very big country, but the short answer's no.

Enjoy boot shopping! Think wisely. If you're going for serious bsns boots (which you will eventually need), try Sorel boots or Columbias or something. Don't buy UGGs and expect them to keep the water out!
