He always loved the sea. Her soft play, her creatures, the fascinating changes of her colours in the sun's and the moon's different lights, even her black rage in a fierce storm.
He loved Elizabeth, too. She seemed somewhat related to the sea, changing in appearance and mood similar to her, fighting enemies like an angry wave and embracing beloved ones as gentle as any smooth lagoon swell.
As long as he served at sea, he knew that one day his life would probably end there.
But he never expected that to happen in the wake of her mortal sister...
