I confess, your opinion as an experienced reader and writer (and fan of Jack and his characters) is as important to me as my dear friend porridgebird's. Without her help and beta-work I wouldn't dare to publish any long-term English-written story. She likes this, too, and she agrees with me about Derek being in need to be humbled, to be able to change at all.
