Well, he's intelligent and my personal opinion is that he had artificially acquired most of his attitudes for some reasons. So I think it is possible that difficult/strange circumstances can change at least some of them. But - no spoilers ;)

To be honest, I like his rant, too,though I'm the one who created it.
