So, I live in the city unfortunate enough to be hosting the RNC, and the police and FBI's brutal intimidation tactics have been well documented by now. I was outraged as a proud resident of this state to see my police force behaving so outrageously. That was intellectual. This is personal ( Read more... )

He got home at 4am - thank you for your concern! Now let's see how this goes through the court, and what kind of legal recourse we have.

Fuck. God. Fuck. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I hope you can get it sorted out soon.

When my brothers were arrested for, yanno, committing actual crimes they were given their one bloody phone call or an officer came by to tell my parents where they were. Taking a kid for a nothing charge and not letting his parents know where he is? Nothing but kidnapping.

The police are not supposed to be a publicly funded gang of kidnappers.

You are so right - the state kidnapped him for several hours.

He got home at 4am. Now the legal wrangling begins.

Thank you for your support!

Oh my god, that's awful. I hope everything gets sorted ot soon. Is there a procedure for making a complaint to the department?

Thank you. We're looking into a number of options, from a class action suit to a formal complaint. We'll see what's most viable.

Not that you were before but doesn't this make you just feel all warm and fuzzy and want to go out a vote for McCain ~add VERY heavy sarcasm~

He must be scared shitless poor kid. Let us know when he is safe and at home.

I wish they still used levers to vote because I would pull that Obama lever So Very Hard. But I want a lot more than my vote right now. My citizenship is bigger than the vote. I want to be loud, and public.

He got home at 4am. By the time I saw him he was feeling much better but what an ordeal.
