So remember that time that Bille emails me to say she can't find one of my 3 short papers from Art as Political Action? Yeah, wonderful. The cake taker was that the paper was saved only on a computer in the Bobbitt lab because that is where I wrote it all. WONDERFUL. Have you looked at Canon cameras? They are utterly superb machines.

i did, i was between the Nikon F10 and the Canon Eos rebel K2

I think I, personally, would go with the Canon, just for the sake of brand loyalty. We've had three Canons and they're awesome machines with really great usability and super high quality. Not only that, but they're almost modular, in that once you learn to use one Canon, film or digital, you can pick up any other model and know your way around it. They're great.

I don't really know that much about Nikon, though. I know their film cameras are much higher quality than their digital, though. Cory's really big into digital photography and I've thus been subjected to learning allllllllllll about cameras in the last few years.
