Surgery without drugs has to suck

I talked to my sister last night and she has pre-cancerous cells on her cervix again. It's been 7 years since she had them last, but it's no picnic. They don't even drug you to remove them, they just cut them off and she said that it was no picnic. I guess you wouldn't NEED drugs, but still, it's no party for the one getting the surgery done.

I would go. I definitely HATE going, but I have a history of cysts myself, and having them burst HURTS. For that reason, I take birthcontrol in 4 month cycles, so I have less cysts (they generally form when you ovulate, so reducing ovulation helps prevent cysts). I hate it though. I stress for about a month ahead of time! But I hate going to ANY doctor! Hah! Ah well... I will pray for you sister. I have a friend who went through something similar, and she was given meds for it! (They said she didn't need it, but offered it anyway). Wishing the best for her!

Oh man, definitely will keep your sister in my prayers. That sounds quite painful. And as for the GYNO, i totally hear ya. I've never gone to one myself. I went to my doctor two years ago and she did the general papsmear and stuff, and that wasn't as bad as I had hyped it up in my mind to be. I've put it off as well but with getting married and all, I do want to make sure things are all ok and I have to look into the whole birth control thing. So in fact, I worked up the nerve to call a local GYNO my Aunt reccomended, and one covered on my work insurance coverage, for this Tuesday. I'm kind of nervous, but anxious to get it over with. Gotta know! Anyway, i'll be praying for you and your sister. Oh, and what are you guys doing the first weekend of June? So far that weekend is clear for me and i'm planning on sticking around my Gram's. Keep that in mind if you need a getaway! ;)
