Nothing quite like getting mugged, having your head punched and getting kicked in the gut to keep you up. Not to mention that stuff was stolen like paychecks, checkbook, debit card, phone, keys, and license. Lukcly that stuff can be fixed by cancelling it, but it still sucks hardcore. Wow, Jess, I'm really glad he didn't have a weapon either. It's good to hear you're okay for the most part. That had to have been pretty scary. In your travels, I'd pick up a thing of mace.

OH MY GOSH PRAISE GOD YOU ARE OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, that's SO scary. What a relief he had no weapon. That's awful all the stuff he took, but yes, you're right, that can be replaced. Was this right outside your place?! In the dark? Oh goodness. I'm praying for you girl, that's really scary and I would imagine you feel pretty jumpy and out of sorts. Hang in there girl ok? Thank goodness you are getting out of the city this summer. I'm here for ya if you want to get away or anything.

I must tell you a part of me is seriously wanting to leave for Syracuse right now and search for and find that punk and inflict some retribution! Believe me, I'm serious!!! This is not a joke!!!!! :-/

I am glad that you are ok now, and weren't seriously hurt (like shot or stabbed) but obviously you are not 100% If you need me to come, I will make arrangements somehow and will leave at your request!

Let's hope the punk is stupid enough to try to cash the checks! That way the bank will have his picture on video and the police can track him down!

Maybe I should come down, and visit the local politicians and bueracrats, i'm good at political talk and I would make sure your case is resolved and doesn't end up in the cold case file! They better find this punk!

And as for protection, although in the past I was resistant to the idea, if I was living in the city, a firearm would be on me at all times! You might want to consider that..

A thought just came to mind. You should have the door locks changed, if you haven't thought of that already!

Thanks everyone for the comments! I cancelled all I was supposed to, locks have been changed (at home and work) and I'm gonna get my new cell phone tonight. Good news, my purse has been found and I will be getting it monday. My money is gone, but there was, at best, $7 in it. And I will probably be getting some mase (the kind Mike suggested, althought I do like Greg's suggestion).
