I've been seeing this thing around, and far be it from me to pass up a good meme. :F
1. Your main fandom of the year: Hetalia, without a doubt. It's taken over my brain. x_x;
2. Your favorite Film this year: Toy Story 3!
3. Your favorite Book read this year: I don't know if it's my favorite book I've read this year (favorite books are really hard for me to pick), but I really enjoyed The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer.
4. Your favorite Album or Song this year: Oh boy...
- China's character song "Aiyah, 4000 Years". I just think it's a really moving song, okay. :(
- The entire Umineko OST. It is one of the most beautiful OSTs I've ever heard.
- Pretty much every variation of "Dear You" out there, especially "With You" and the instrumental version heard in this video starting around 3:30 that I haven't been able to find anywhere else.
- And because I need something on this list that isn't related to anime: Lullaby for A Stormy Night by Vienna Tang.
5. Your favorite TV Show this year: Futurama and AAAADVENTURE TIME!
6. Your favorite LJ Community this year: hetalia ~
7. Your best new Fandom Discovery of the Year? Danbooru. Hur hur. I don't like all the porn, but I appreciate having such a huge archive of fanart that I can actually navigate (sob, Pixiv).
8. Your biggest Fandom Disappointment of the Year? The Salvage Arc of Soul Eater. It began with so much potential and awesome fanservice, and then suddenly there was horrid writing and character derailment everywhere. Seriously, this one arc was so bad that it's nearly killed my love for the series.
9. Your TV Boyfriend of the year: Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club. He's adorable in his over-the-top and silly yet genuine and pure flirtatiousness. <3
10. Your TV Girlfriend of the year: Rena Ryuugu from Higurashi. She's awesome. :3
11. Your biggest Squee moment of the year? When I first read the finale to Umineko ep. 6. It. Was. AWESOME. Also, when there was genderbending in Soul Eater.
12. Your most Missed Old Fandom? My very first fandom, way back in ye olden days of 2007. It was the Kirby fandom, and I've never been in a fandom like it since. Back then, the forums on the biggest Kirby site on the Internet, Kirby's Rainbow Resort had a close-knit community of awesome people. It was like a second home to me, even though I mostly lurked there. Almost everyone from back then has moved on to other fandoms now though, and the forums don't have the "family" feeling they used to.
13. Your Fandom that you haven't Tried Yet, but want to? Persona 3. I know it'll never happen since I don't own a PS2 or PSP and probably never will, but...it looks interesting. ;_;
12. Your Biggest Anticipations of the New Year? The Hetalia movie (I know everyone who's seen it says it sucks, but I think it sounds like enough to keep my unsophisticated mind entertained :P) and The Legend of Korra.
Tomorrow I'm going into Portland with my family to see a Christmas play. I think it's called "A Christmas Story" or something like that. Then we're going to a Greek restaurant afterwards for dinner. Hopefully that'll be fun.
