A couple of boys from Culgan's army dragged us out and patched us up enough to get us back to my home town.

Somebody told me after me and Culgan could walk again. They said that the leader kid from the resistance army killed you in a one on one. He tried to spout some bull about your rune, but why would we believe that punk?

After you left, Highland was forced to merge with Jowston into the Dunan Republic. Culgan and I went back to my birth town, and were working on rebuilding it. He was with me, but right now...not so much. He might be somewhere around here, but I can't find him for the life of me.

And I swear on Serafine, if he's in a library somewhere around here, I'm choking him with his fruity stole thing.

Whoever informed you of that was right, Seed. Riou refused to fight me, even after I ordered him. Begged him. I begged him to take my rune too, and he wouldn't. The rune finished me, or so I thought; it appears that that may not be the case, now.

However, using it still wearies me far more than it ought to. I think it'll be a few days before I can find my strength.

So Highland fell to Jowston. Things were the way they should be, in the end. At least until...
