Update

D's surgery started at 8:30 central and it took them til almost 9:45 to get him under and stabilized. They changed surgical teams twice throughout the day. He's been in recovery for about 45 minutes but isn't awake yet.

I'm still waiting to hear what the drs have to say.

But...it's over. Nearly 12 hours, but its over.
