One other thing that I forgot to mention about the midnight show was something that happened during the previews before the movie. My friend Whit was sitting next to me, and he said that he was thinking about doing a Wookiee call. I told him that he should, because he does one of the best Wookiee impressions that I have heard. We had a Star Wars Prequel marathon yesterday afternoon, and it was a blast!  I decorated with some of my collection (but only a fraction) and really impressed everyone.  My wife and I kept getting scared by the life-sized cardboard cutouts, though.  I wish I could display all of it, all the time, but there just isn't room for it.  Oh well.

There's been a change in plans!  It turns out that the Carmike here in town is having a midnight show, and I can get refunded for the tickets for the one in Salem.  So, that is really good news!  Now I don't have to drive all the way to Salem with a car that doesn't work so well, and it shaves an hour off the time it will take to get home, which is ( Read more... )

I spent most of the weekend trying to recover from a computer virus. Apparently I went to a website that was not so nice, and it got me good. At first I thought it was just spyware, but it also messed with my internet dialer and completely screwed up Outlook so it wouldn't open. I just found out yesterday that tickets for the midnight shows of Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith are pretty much all sold out. Well, today is the day that all of the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith merchandise hit the streets.  I'm still not sure why they put it all out there so early, since a lot of it spoils the movie, but I guess if that's what Lucas wants, that's what Lucas gets.  I went out today and bought a few of the new action figures, since they are so damn cool ( Read more... )
