Happy New Movie Year!
Here's the rundown of the flicks I saw last year:
The Top Ten Flicks of '06
1. Rocky Balboa - I loved this movie better than my own children. Which is good, because I have none.
2. Clerks II - Exceeded expections. Hilarious and heart-warming (especially the donkey scene).
3. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest- Would have been number one had it been a bit shorter.
4. V For Vendetta- A masterpiece.
5. The Prestige - Best mindfuck in awhile. I didn't even catch the last twist.
6. Nacho Libre - Just plain weird.
7. Casino Royale - Best Bond since Connery, possibly the best Bond of all.
8. Borat- I had to wait an extra week to see this, but it was worth it. So funny I peed.
9. Man Of The Year- Robin Williams hasn't been this good since RV (kidding).
10. Cars - Pixar hits another homer.
Honorable Mentions - Jet Li's Fearless, X-Men: The Last Stand, Superman Returns, Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny.
The Bottom Five
5. Bloodrayne- Well, it wasn't as bad as Alone In The Dark.
4. Eragon- --Insert "I liked it better when it was Star Wars" joke here.--
3. The Omen - Um. Was this supposed to be scary?
2. The DaVinci Code- If not for Ian McKellen this picture would be a loss.
1. Idiocracy- Simply because it never came out.
Dishonorable Mentions - Underworld Evolution, Date Movie, Grandma's Boy.
