I feel like we always hear/ talk about female stereotypes, but I am handing one to the men here. I think the marketing of products like deoderant has become ridiculous. It's overly edgy with names like "cool rush", or "lightning bolt" or other EXTREME bullshit. You must feel like an action hero as soon as you glide it on or something. As soon as ( Read more... )

You had me laugh outloud! That's totally true! And it does not only apply to deodorant. I mean advertisement really go over the top a lot of the time now. THis is a great example! Take the risk.... Ha!

yeah, that stuff is so dumb. Today i was in the store buying some stuff to take with me on my trip (I am going to europe for 6 weeks!), and I saw this body spray, which I normally don't buy (cologne usually is enough!)... But then I was like hmmm, I am probably going to be spending a couple nights on trains, maybe this isn't such a bad idea. So I bought a bottle that axe stuff.

Here is what the back says:
"... and a long lasting fragrance designed to seduce the ladies. If you spray it, they will come."

I kid you not, that's what it says.

I guess I just wanted the one that says
"a fragrance designed to help people not hate you if you have to skip a shower because you're on a train."

but they didn't make that one.

Now I'm afraid that if I spray it and fall asleep, I'll get attacked like on those commercials ;)
