I'm sitting here messing with lj because I can't focus until I've heard from Chris bescincimevsim GAH! I just can't think, I wish I had his number...although judging by this tragedy, phone lines in England are probably jammed anyway with ex-pats and family members calling in. I know...one of our driver's was going on and on about how all these 'middle-easterners and armenians are in league together'. I snapped at him not to jump to any conclusions, and not to let an incidence of tragedy turn him to hate any of his fellow humans. It's what our news media wants, turn our 'enemies' into less than human and we justify our retaliation...and the cycles go on and on.

I'm here darling. Getting out of Manchester turned into a nightmare. Apparently, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Glasgow and a handful of other smaller cities have security checkpoints on the roads at the moment. It's taken me twice as long to get home - after spending 4 hours in a lockdown, so I've been out of the loop... just watching the news feeling ill...

I'm glad you're okay, I couldn't bare the 'what if's' anymore. I kept looking over photos from Reuters to see if you were one of the ones huddled in a blanket. I'm sad for your countrymen, but glad you made it home okay.

I feel so fortunate to not be in London. I can't stop thinking about the people who have died. Going to work and being killed just for being you...

I had to ask... in your LJ picture/avatar/whatever you have somethign stuck to your temple. Is that some kind of 'borg implant' :P Kinda reminds me of those data ports a few characters on the tv show Andromeda have...

:D Wow, you're good. Yes, it's a borg implant. :)I was directing an episode of "Hidden Frontier" and I said I needed coffee and a borg neural interface to get through the day. So, I got my coffee and my picture taken with the prop.

I'm adam btw...
