At the Hellenic BBQ someone mumbled something about how they wished WW could have been more authentic. A second person said sarcastically that they should cut off one of her breasts. And my response?

:D Too funny. Actually, I belong to the WW boards over at DC comics, and while many of the writers hope to make her more greek, and bring in more stories of the Gods...the readers mostly don't like the mythology...I'm like, guys she's supposed to have been created by the Gods...and you think They're not going to be in her life? Actually, they've portrayed the Olympians in modern clothing which I really like. After all...they were portrayed in 'modern' clothing at one time, so why not now? :D

Yeah - I was really taken aback by how much detail there is - there's like a whole WW mythology

Oh, totally...when you've got 50+ years of stories..she's got a TON of history. My favorite is Princess Diana's favorite Kangaroo on the island was Jumpa the Kangaroo....it all stemmed from an alien invasion that used giant kangaroos to invade the island. That was in the Golden Age Era, then with the Perez re-boot, everyone agreed they like the idea of Kangaroos on the island, and just kept them without explanation. But now the "OFFICIAL" explanantion for Wonder Woman's exploits from the 40 and 50, was that Hippolyta was sent back in time as penance from the Gods for rigging one of the Amazon contests and making Artemis (the Bana-Migdal Amazon not the Goddess) into Wonder Woman. ::whew::

Actually Joss is doing a full length film, to be produced my Joe Silver (of matrix fame)...and yes, I squeal in the theatres whenever I see a trailer for Dukes of Hazzard and Sky High both of which she's in. :D
