Well, my Mom was in town, and I got a chance to see her and my step-dad yesterday afternoon. She took me aside to tell me that her going through my coming out process is helping my step-dad, as the real reason my step-brother and his wife broke up is that he's gay. I kind of went, Yay. Not in a while...he and I used to joke and have fun, but when I was a teen, he was married and I thought we didn't have anything in common...silly me... :)

don't take this in a bad way please...but I feel bad for the wife. she probably had no idea..
did you have any idea? any gay-dar, as they call it? I am always wondering what I would do if the love of my life came out. I suppose I'd try to be supportive and happy for him but talk about heartbreak...

and *why* do people always ask people who are unmarried if they "are still together"? meh. I'm so glad your family loves JayTee too...and so glad that you were able to teach them to open their minds. I am a woman though, and can't help but feel for that poor wife.
