It's actually a good thing I didn't go this weekend. I talked to some people who went over the mountains to visit family in eastern Washington, and they said the pass was closed for a while because they started getting freezing rain up in the mountains, and it iced up all the roads...Should be really nice this weekend, though, so I think I'm making a trip.

No, but I have become an even bigger fan of Gore-Tex. :) Most people here don't bother with umbrellas, actually. They either just walk around in it and pretend it's not raining, or they go all the way and bust out the raingear...

You haven't seen umbrella connoisseurs until you've been to London! Try and walk down Oxford Street when it's pouring down rain - go on...I dare ya! You could lose an eye from all of the "pokey" umbrellas and disgruntled Londoners! Totally unsafe...
