Same drama....
Different year....
CRF opened this weekend... the turnout was NOT good since it was wet, cold, windy and rainy both days. Sunday was slightly better and warmed up enough so I did not have to wear my cloak.
I had a great time both days and tried not to let the drama interfere with that fun. I only mention drama because, once again, rumors have reared their ugly head and I seem to be at the apex of those rumors.
Things I am being "accused" of (this was said directly the the daughter of my best friend):
I am "fake" - said by accuser "if you hate someone, you shouldn't act like you like them and be friendly to them".
This is pretty ironic, since I was actually going to give the person a "break" this year and really try to be more friendly to her!!! I've heard some ugly things about her, but, knowing exactly how that "stuff" works, I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and act friendlier - okay, THAT won't be happening now.
Said by the same person: "Kat started rumors about me all last year AND she has been poking the EDwith the "annoying" stick and talking shit about me to the ED" I find it very interesting that the entertainment director would talk shit about one of his production team members to an entertainer. Unfortunately, I believe it. Because...
Second rumor - this one involving me and Kim:
"purportedly" the ED spoke to a very good friend of Kim's and started saying some pretty ugly things about Kim and I, without using our names. This friend is reliable and although she wasn't given any specific names, she knew exactly who he was talking about because his diatribe included many comments about the "costuming people" - Kim and I were "in charge" of costuming this year, after the ED asked us to do the job.
There have been many, many changes this year - I say that because we are told one thing one day and quite something else the other day. Or, we are totally unaware that something HAS been changed until we are blindsided by someone after we've unwittingly stepped on their toes.
How does one justify telling your "team" that if they have any issues with him or anyone else to "bring them to him". Then, when you DO, you are punished for it by a snotty phone call or "meeting" and then that person goes out and tells everyone what happened!! Uh, anyone hear of being professional???
Again, funny, I was told that I was being unprofessional for calling out our ED on his inconsistency and contradictory nature about costuming (in front of other people and the "team")!! Only to find out that he in turn is talking smack about me to other entertainers!!!
Like I said, I did have fun both days. I played with the princess who is really starting to assert herself more, now that she is not overshadowed by anyone. And, this being Lolly's last year as our Queen, I got to play with her a lot yesterday. We played follow the leader and she led us all over the grounds, in and out of the dungeons, etc. She also chased me out of a shop with a lovely read crucifix (remember, I'm the evil blackwidow) Ahhhhh, good times, good times.... those are what I will choose to remember for opening weekend.
Oh, and also being "ordered" by the Queen to go and find the Lost Boys and bring them back to her. Which we did. They were surprised but accompanied us back to the pavilion for a song.
All I have to say is yamguitar is sooooo much fun and he sounded GREAT with the other two LB's. Impressive, talented = EXCELLENT! He told me he missed his Rosemary and Ariana though. I miss them too.
I'm still wearing the bells given to me by the original (and best) drummer, and that made me happy and nostalgic.
I didn't get to see ladychevalier very much and that made me sad. I was late to cast call and couldn't even say hello. So HELLO Chaz and Lady!!! Let's do dinner sometime!
Now, I've got to go hose down my skirts and get the mud out of them!!! I hope all our friends in GA can come up to visit!!!
