I feel that the Bible is being misused and misintrepreted by the Majority to exercise power over a minority, in this, and every Gay Rights issue. Certain Christians do not want a gay couple to be able to marry because in their opinion it would condone sacriligeous behaviours. The Sodom and Gomorrah story, even if you believe in it literally, says nothing about homosexuality. However, some Christians take this chapter and run.
When there are 92% one way (straight) and 8% the other way (gay) there cannot be equality for the minority. At least, not without a compassionate and enlightened majority leadership.
This is an important issue, unfortunately, and I can see which way it's going to go, and that upsets me greatly.
