Storm clouds had piled up over Crater Lake, rumbling threateningly but no rain or lightning lashed down over the national park. The lake itself is a sullen, endless grey, and the snow that blankets the entire area is dull

The trip from Autobot City to Crater Lake, Washington is far short for a sub-orbital hop. Indeed, it's barely long enough to fully ignite Skyfire's main thrusters. The great white shuttle descends in a great spiral, admiring the geology of the region--the water-filled crater of the ancient, shattered volcano with the young volcano arising from the depths of the lake.

Jetstorm is there, at the volcano's peak, apparently oblivious to the steam rising around him. Skyfire descends to near the peak, hovers for a moment, and transforms, settling to the ground as his wings fold up and back.

He stands silently for some moments...

The radio chatter cuts off abrubtly, and all five of them glare at Skyfire. There's a sense that they aren't as angry at him as they seem, but they are all furious and heart-sick over something.

The great white and blue mech looks at Jetstorm with clear blue optics, the color of a bright winter sky, when the sun glares fiercely off the snow.

"Jetstorm. They grow worried about you and your brothers back at Autobot City--particularly Ratchet and Auspex."

Jetstorm stares up at Skyfire with almost non-comprehension.
