It might not be his fault. I've been in brawl for a while... and I've seen doubles of a lot of people. Even Bob-san made a post of alternate realities a while back. This place is wired so that... well, you can run into alternate versions of people.

So he might be just as confuses as you, if not more. As for not getting closure, maybe you'll find it one day.

I suggest taking time to get over him, or pull a Kyouya. Kyouya was dating Ren for like six months, when that Ren went poof and a different one popped up. But because they really love each other, they're dating now. So maybe that might even happen?
