If you know the community
sgastoryfinders, then you know that it's used by people who are trying to find fanfics they've read in the past but have lost the link and can't remember who wrote it, or simply can't find it among the author's works. You also know how hysterical some of the entries can be as people divulge any detail they can remember about a story in hopes that one of them will jog someone else's memory and help them find the fic in question.
Let's face it - under these circumstances, almost any story would come off sounding bad. Beg to differ? Well, let's put that theory to the test.
Take a well-known book, movie, play, etc., and pretend that you only remember a few of the details and you really need someone to tell you the name of it so that you can find it to reread/rewatch it. Include in your description the medium (book, movie, play, whatever), and a few random elements that give sufficient clues that someone could conceivably guess the answer, but not enough that it outlines the whole plot or sounds too... well, reasonable.
Post these descriptions in your LJ and leave a comment here with the link. Let's see who comes up with the most outrageous description!
