A friend is back from Iraq. He stopped in at work last night, and I had to do a double take when I saw him. We shook hands, he hugged me and I was finally able to put some fears to rest. Well the five-day weekend has drawn to a close. I can't say as I did anything really important, but a relaxing time was had overall. Time spent with the goddaughter's always a good time, and she actually smiles when she sees me now. It's hard to believe she'll already be a year old come August...man, time flies ( Read more... )

So I officially started the new job last night. It turned out to be pretty much what I expected, but this is a good thing. No more stress about wondering if I'll be working in my spot or not due to staff shortages, it's still a control bubble (of sorts), and there's a lot more people interaction.
